My
outburst are sometimes directed at others; this one
is directed at me. The release of the film Brotherhood
of the Wolf (Le Pacte des Loups) was the key factor
that showed how uncultivated the French youth are when
it comes to the legends of our country.
A rich cultural world is my deep wish. But I come from
this generation which gave up transmitting these wonderful
tales, these tales that gave us such pleasure, and such
healthye fears! I wanted this picture to be close to
reality, a bit far from the legend. When you first look
at it, you see the young woman, the jaws, the eyes:
that was real. Real, but the jaws and the eyes belonged
to the power.
Thanks to the colours, a closer look will allow you
to see the beast, the demonised wolf of the legend.
He took no part in the historical massacre: poor wolves,
but what a wonderful tale!
